messi will play a creative and central role for the national squad come 2022. the need to score will not fall on his shoulders, argentina problem imo is playing 3 in the back far to often, todays counter attacking fast pace football having 3 in the back is suicide. especially when argentina doesnt have a keeper that can act as a sweeper. if i was in argentina i would be trying to develop far more full backs and keepers in the youth squads. it should be easy there are alot of argentinos with german or italian blood, lol
