It was a great win, but the biggest upset will always be North Korea beating Italy in 1966. These days even the low ranked teams have access to analysis, sports science, nutrition etc. Back then those North Korean players had never seen videos of Europe and grew up on propaganda from the North Korean government. This was a victory of not only the players but coaching…. absolutely great game plan and conversely failure of Argentina coach to make adjustments. Argentina did not look sharp or prepared for the Saudi’s energy, hopefully this will be a wake up call for the team. Congrats to Saudi Players, it’s unfortunate they live under such an oppressive regime, and didn’t see one woman amongst their fan base in the stands.
