16. Not only did Maradona score with his hand, but to compound matters, he was also off side when he did so. It would be interesting to know if Maradona had ever done anything similar before that incident. As a piece of misdirecton, it was too… perfect.

    That ball which found him, was kicked when Mr 'hand of god' was already off side. Makes you wonder about the lines man at the time. Argentina were predestined to win, they just had to make a show of it.

20. On that first goal… wtf is the English goalie doing? Maradona’s hand couldn’t be over 6 feet high when he hit the ball but that goalie backed off. On the second goal he made all the English look like pylons. Definitely one of the best goals ever. Argentina were the better team and deserved the World Cup.

26. 1. I don't blame Maradonna that he didn't confess to ref that he used his hand. After all, this is world cup 1/4 playoff. You lose, you go home and see you 4 years later (if you can pass qualifiers). PLUS, his country just got beaten down by the country of the other side.
    2. Give credit to England players. They didn't excessively argue with the ref after the hand goal. They also didn't commit dirty foul from behind to Maradonna on the second goal. England players show their class.

His defeating England´s team in 1986 was the revenge for the defeat of Argentina in the war of Malvinas (Falklands) in 1982. Brits invaded the whole world and stole everything they found there. 33. For 36 years the English had been complaining about this Hand of God incident. The truth is if there had been VAR then the goal would have been cancelled and Maradona would have got a yellow card. But then half of the English team could have been sent off for multiple tackles from behind, off-ball whacking… etc. Terry Fenwick, Sansom, Butcher, they were no gentlemen either. Besides, with the team they had in 1986, to lose to 1-0 to a weak Portugal team with nobodies and be only second in their group to Mexico, was quite pathetic really. And to think of it could they have beaten Belgium and Germany? They had a better team in 1986 than they did in 1990.
