8. Yeah you can’t really compare Algeria to Argentina. The competition is different. Also to say South American football is straight up declining isn’t accurate. Teams like Uruguay, Chile and Colombia are in transition this cycle but still have plenty of talent. Also, the atmosphere, physicality and at times altitude make for what I think is one of the toughest qualifying campaigns out there. Even if there’s different levels of talent, there aren’t any free wins like maybe in Europe where you have teams winning 8-9 nil in their qualifying groups. Italy will be a great test though and I’m sure Argentina will have some difficult friendlies along the way as well so there’s still time.

Argentina have faced better competition than algeria an even beat brasil in a final at home something that never happened before. 14. I’m eager to see how the match against Italy in June is going to hold up. As an Argentinian I have confidence in the squad and scaloni but I feel this will be a great test to see how they match up to the European champions. The World Cup is definitely center stage though! ????

    Scaloni has found a winning formula with these guys and they've developed a tough mettle that's allowed them to go undefeated for so long, and finally break the tension with a major trophy (Copa America). Beating Brazil IN Brazil was a watershed moment. Argentina hadn't won a competitive fixture against Brazil since 2005 prior to 2021's CA final. Brazil had previously never failed to win a CA that they've hosted. Ever. That result was a head turner and felt like a breakthrough.

    Respectfully disagree with the Algeria comparison, although it is understandable. Algeria has played against the likes of Djibouti and Niger. To go undefeated in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers is a great achievement, and indicative of a side that can compete anywhere else.
