  1. Argentina is a team that I want them to win but it’s early to predict they will win. I don’t their defence is that good compared to the likes of France,Brazil and even Spain. Unless they play friendly against a top side we won’t know how good they are. Beating a weak Italian side that were beaten by N. Mercedonia is one thing but playing against France, Portugal, Spain , Brazil is another huddle.

  2. I fancy Argentina to win it. They FINALLY look like they've built a team around Messi, ball playing defenders, dominant midfielders he can link with and runners either side and in behind. I've been really impressed with their last couple of games.

  3. The subject for discussion is can argentina win the world cupAnd the pundits are talking about can Messi win the world cup. To make matters worse, ronaldo sneaks in the conversation at every mention of Messi. This highly irritating binary needs to stop.

  4. I think Argentina is playing a lot, by the way, they are playing better than France, which on paper has the best team in the world, they haven't played football since 2018, Argentina is definitely coming to win this cup

  5. Keep subestimating Argentina 🙂 people think that they are Messi dependent like other years….and they aren't. Argentina has top 5 players in all the positions.

  6. As a brazil fan, arg is definitely top 5 contenders to win the wc. I have never seen an arg squad this is so balanced and difficult to break down. Last few wc they are simply too top heavy which is why they are often overran. But with guido lo celso paredes de Paul and palacios, they have steel in mf this time. Df has so many options compared to before. Hoping they crash out early, but with a favourable grp and draw they can go all the way I am afraid.

  7. Argentina will cry in Mbappe's lap and Brazil will cry too if they face him. Argentina is a good team, but they don't go beyond the quarterfinals. and Brazil? It's a team that doesn't even have the strength to reach the quarterfinals, this one has been over for a long time, but they go to the cup thinking they're going to make it past the quarters, but then they find Germany, Belgium or Spain and their wings are broken in the middle of the way. In a match between Brazil x Argentina in the cup, the least bad team will win, currently it is the Argentina team.

  8. Of course they can, once your out of the group its a cup competition, a run of form and a bit of luck can see any team win it. Why do people pretend that you have to be the best team to win a cup, you clearly don't!

  9. ONE MATCH TROPHY. What a shame!
Messi has MISERABLY failed in the FARMERS LEAGUE, in fact this whole season.
In Nations League and Euros, TOP European teams compete plus WINNER is not decided by just one match.

  10. Was there at Wembley last night. As a Italy fan. It was a joy to see Messi live and on such good form.

Martinez,, dyblya, Di Maria and Messi. Possibly the best front 3 /4 attackers in the world.

  11. There are so many favorites this World Cup. So many stacked talents around.

The usual Brazil, Spain, Argentina, France, Belgium , England, Portugal, Germany. It’ll be one of the best WC ever.

  12. With the form Benzema is in, I'm pretty sure he could drag any team to the title! Not to mention the rest of the quality in that squad..
France took their foot off the gas against Switzerland at the Euros, but they're still the most talented team by far!

  13. Fun fact: Germany has not been beaten by a south American opposition since the 2002 world cup final.

ABSOLUTELY INSANE FACT – Germany has been beaten by South American opposition only twice in history . 1986 world cup final and 2002 world cup final.

  14. There's no one actually that can threaten Argentina defence except France forwards or Brazilian forwards. Hope they don't come against Argentina. Winning a tournament doesn't only depend on team performance, it also requires a bit of luck and determination to stick together.

  15. Gab makes an excellet point.
This is not a normal world cup.
Players are coming to the world cup straight from mid season and this is gonna be great lol.

  16. Argentina no chance they would be knocked out in quarters or semis its gonna be Brazil or Germany who will win it for sure and before any one says anything England ain't getting through quarters lads ????

  17. If Argentina get a good run and avoid any of the top 8 until the Semifinals with some of the big teams like France, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Belgium, England get knocked out in the Group & round of 16 & Quarterfinal stages then yeah they really could win it.
But if they get France, Brazil, Spain or Belgium in the round of 16 when those teams are still fresh and confident out of the Group Stages without the stress of 'God we made it this far, let's just play conservatively to give ourselves the best chance.' Then Argentina could get smashed like 4-1.

  18. I'd rather see Messi play like that back at Barcelona and just compete for The League & Copa Del Rey rather than watch him turn into a facilitator for PSG and have a 6.25% chance of winning a UCL title.

You can argue about who the GOAT is because it comes down to your personal criteria. But you can't argue about who plays The Beautiful Game the most beautifully, it's Messi.
