19. Why was Argentina so classless in this game? There must be a backstory to all the cards and bad behavior on both sides, but especially on the Argentine side. For my money the Argentine who did the back to back slide tackles then blasted the ball at the Dutch bench should have been sent off. What’s the backstory? Dutch must have done something to provoke the behavior.

42. I think the stat LME was looking for is that Croatia now in their last 8 knockout games have gone to ET 7 times and won 6 times, including 4 out of 4 on penalties. Only Germany can match their record in penalty shoot outs. For a nation with a population of 4m, Croatia has consistently over achieved. Even reaching a major finals is an achievement, to regularly get to QFs, SFs and even the last WC final shows a team that punches above it's weight.

    I backed Argentina to win the world cup, but I don't see a SF against Croatia as any kind of foregone conclusion. Argentina will need to be on their game throughout, as Croatia just never give up.
