  8. Messi dependents created artificially, Scaloni deliberately chooses players that can’t outperform Messi. Messi’s friends are in starting 11. They deliberately don’t give or minimum time for players who can outshine Messi, who is Dybala, Enzo, Thiago. These players plus MacAlister could really do something instead their starting 11 – DePaul, Paredes, DiMaria, Lautaro + Alvarez who can’t make any impact

  17. I think it's unfair that people are talking about Messi having disaster-classes, when the rest of the team offer him ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to pick out going forward. There were so many occasions where Messi received the ball deep, looked up – nothing to pass to. The only thing he could do was make a short ball. Nobody made runs, nobody was dynamic. In a situation like that, the ONLY THING you can do to actually stand out is dribble past every player and score a goal by yourself – that's literally the only option – that or what he did yesterday, which doesn't happen often, because Messi is the most heavily marked player in the world. You look at teams like Croatia for example – Modric is PHENOMENAL, but the rest of the team actually allow him to play like that! If Modric was dropped into this Argentina side in Messi's position and marked just as heavily, I don't think it'd look much different. Messi is 35, he's not able to just blaze past 4-5 defenders now. Argentina need to help him and play dynamically – and they DID THAT when the substitutions were made/the first goal was scored yesterday. I actually think the main problem yesterday was the fact that Scaloni made 4-5 changes for whatever reason. He should have just kept the same line-up – the team weren't horrible in the first game, they just got rattled. Enzo Fernandez, Alvarez, Paredes and Molina should start.

  21. Argentina are so relieved with that win against Mexico, because it was a must and the pressure on their shoulders was huge. Now they might get momentum and play more calm and relaxed. If Argentina beat Poland, surely will win the group and might face Australia or Denmark on the first knockout round, if they pass through them then might face Netherlands who aren't so great either, so as you can see Argentina has the potential to go far in the tournament.

  22. argentina is missing lo celso pretty badly. midfield of paredes de paul and lo celso was perfect as paredes was protecting the defence, de paul was a box to box player while lo celso was the creative one in the midfield. his dribbling, passing, vision and creatvity is far superior than any other midfielder in argentina squad. he was the main reason why messi didnt need to drop deep as he did last 2 games. with him injured the creativty from midfield has drastically dropped and once again messi is forced to drop deep to create. on top of that lautaro is having rough time and argentina doesnt exactly have a great subtitutes to boast about. this is exactly why teams like brazil and france are ahead of argetina in the competition. argentina might have had the best chemistry in the world lately but 1 player missing and their whole system is heavily affected whereas those 2 have plenty of options even on the bench to carry on with their playstyle.

  30. i think everyones not counting the conditions..they really struggled under the temperature against saudi… and thats the same story with every other latin europiant teams who had a early game under the sun against african or middle eastern teams

  32. That Saudi Arabia could have easily been a 4-2 if not for offside. If you think argentina is going to get the timing this wrong after more than a match then I wish you well!

  35. Shaka has always been a Messi hater and looks for any excuse to not acknowledge him or the Argentinian team. Even if Messi won the world cup, shaka doesn't want to accept that Messi may possibly be the best of all time, it's only a childish bias

  45. Weird to say, but Argentina can easily play better without Messi. The ball flows better when they cant depend on him. But, we all need Messi to play and he defined the game yesterday thanks to him
