Celtic’s move for Alexandro Bernabei could be edging closer to a resolution as the defender prepares to miss out for Lanus once again.
The 21-year old Argentine left back wasn’t included in the squad for his side’s game against Defensa y Justicia on Friday night.
It’s now being reported that Bernabei won’t feature again when Lanus take on Atletico Tucuman in Argentine Primera Division action later tonight – and he could have played his last match for the club.
Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou is in the market for a left back this summer and Bernabei has emerged as a serious option.
Reports back in Argentina claimed that Celtic had made their move to sign him last week.
That offer was seemingly rejected, with the bid being branded «insufficient» by journalist Cesar Luis Merlo.
