Julien Laurens joins the ESPN FC crew to break down Kylian Mbappe’s two-goal performance in France’s 4-3 win over Lionel Messi and Argentina at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, saying there is «no limit» to how good the young Paris Saint-Germain star can be.

  1. I wouldn't go as far as GOAT yet but I will say Mbappe is amazing and definitely has potential to be the GOAT. I'm just afraid of one thing, after seeing Mbappe in FRAURU dive with movements much like that of Neymar, I'm afraid being in a duo/best buds with Neymar, Mbappe may look up to Neymar and pick up his bad habits, rather than his good. But Mbappe is Mbappe ⚽??

  2. we are so proud to have him in our national team. First time I saw this kid was 2 years ago in a match of monaco. He had just turned 17 and he scored a hat trick that day, in the french ligue 1. I had never been impressed that much by a player of this age , at the exception of neymar when he was at santos. When I saw Mbappe, I told myself this guy is the chosen one, he s different from all the so called young prodigies that have never break out, this guy IS the real thing. 6 months later he became the youngest player to score in champion s league, with 6 GOALS in 9 games! The kid is gonna be HUGE you can bet on that

  3. A lot of people are talking about this possibly being the last World Cups for Messi and Ronaldo, at least at this level of their career (Messi could make another showing, but will likely be losing a bit by then). I am thoroughly convinced that Mbappe, if he keeps evolving, may come back to the World Cup 2022 on that same pedestal. We are seeing the next generation of phenoms.

  4. Deschamps managed to mask his game during 3 matches, but now revealed the real face of French team when facing Argentina
I'm afraid there will be more to come, I'm convinced Mbappe will be the Star of this World Cup

  5. Espn why don't you just post the whole show rather than these tiny little nuggets of nothingness, I'd watch watch it via your channel if you did, but you don't, so I just watch one of the 2 dozen random uploader videos of the whole show instead… Sort it out

  6. Forget about Neymar !? That fuck with this journalist, it got to be so easy to speak in front of the cámara not risking anything just analysing football matches seriously

  7. Dear FIFA: If Kylian Mbappe didn't run and played in previous games as he did against Argentina, I always suspect that there may be another factor that helped in such a performance of his. It would have been wise to have performed a doping test after the game to protect the health of the athlete and the integrity of football through engagement, deterrence, detection and enforcement activities aimed at minimising the risk of doping. It seems to me that no human runs 90 minutes as Mbappe did run against Argentina. How come he didn't run like that before? I played football for 6 years.

  8. Mbappe's only 19?! How?! What did I even do as a 19 y/o? Not playing football, that's for sure! He's gonna be a breakout player for France. Not just France, but PSG as well. Respect for him AND his future.

  9. Give Mbappe two more years, he will be the best player in the world. He was clearly the best player on the field. And Messi was on that field.
