32. I remember this game very well and I was 12 years. This was the first world cup to be broadcast live in our TV screens in South Africa. Each time Cameroon was in possession and attacking Argentina – my people would shout "MAYIBUYE i-AFRICA" – indeed it was a proud day for Africa and particularly for us South Africans as we were getting even closer to be liberated from colonial rule.

44. The whole of Africa was behind Cameroon at this tournament. I remember watching this match as 12 year old Nigerian on the streets of Lagos. Cameroon did us proud.
