I really thought Argentina were gonna tear them apart when I saw such a high line from Saudi. And in the first half they did because Saudi were clearly nervous and couldn’t play their game in the first half but Argentina let them get comfortable and paid the price. I thought Argentina’s best player today was Đi Maria. The end result wasn’t there but the amount of great and dangerous crosses he delivered inside the box were so good. I don’t think the defense of Argentina would’ve been so atrocious if Lisandro Martinez started(clearly showing how they underestimated Saudi).
With that said, when I saw how open Argentina are, I thought to myself how top teams will have a field day with them. If they can’t fix this big issue, I don’t see them going much further.

Argentina played poorly and the team may not be able to win a game again. At most the team can tie for 2 points. The midfielders are very bad such that they did not provide passes to Messi and Martinez. The defense is very weak and tired.
The Saudi team played with great physical power and force. The team was down by a penalty which was not supposed to be given then in the second half the Saudis were able to score two great goals with full athletism and power along with great shots. I personally have not seen a goal like the second goal by AL-Dousary. It was a historical shot just like a groung to air missile made in the great area of Al-Dowaser. You are only shocked if you haven't watched Argentina in the last 2 world cups. They tied with Iceland and then lose to Croatia.
The problem I see clearly with Argentina in the world cup is that they make up their minds about something and they are not content until it becomes true. For example, you could tell that after Messi's penalty they had in their minds that they must go into half time with at least another goal. You could tell that they started to get frustrated the closer it got to half time and by the time the second half kicked off they also had the same goal in their minds instead of just playing football and doing one thing at a time. Argentina's stubbornness to do what they want and whenever they want is what's killing them mentally.
