  1. As Portuguese, give it time. Tagliafico, Lo Celso, Foyth have great potential and will be great in the future. People are blaming the coach in a friendly. Sure thing he did shit but there was no competition to be played and the young players needed the experience. Messi in the other hand shouldn't had even played this game, he is getting over worked and at age 31 he cannot do everything. He already had 5 injuries this season due to the club and national team over working him. He ain't no longer young.

  2. To say players play less confident because messi is tgere is kne of the srupidest things ever , the player is a professional and he's wearing his national team jersey he should get confidence fdom there , Messi almost does everything for them but when things go wrong he takes the blame , No player in the history of football has led a team by himself to win a world cup or a major tournment , the narrative that maradona led argentina in 86 to win the world cup is the biggest lie ever , they had a great team and some great talented players that were great in crusual times like valdano in the final against germany , pele played with a team that probably didn't have any flaws every position there was a great player , almost every great player that won the WC had a great supporting cast in each position , if they had such players Messi should now be a world cup winner and twice copa america winner , they blame him for the last copa and they forget that before he kicked his penalty to the mountains as they claim chile have missed a kick before that so it was 0-0 at that point he didn't cost them anything ,players like higuain who missed one on one with neuer in the final and another one in copa america should be killed and take all the blame but because its messi and he is the world greatest he had to carry all that load , for me i wish messi had retired after 2014 because they don't deserve him , and didicate his energy to barcelona where he is appreciated no matter what ,

  3. When I read comments here asking where's Aguero, Di Maria, Higuain etc. I start to wonder if you guys are truly familiar with how National team football works or if you even follow the team closely.
Friendlies are used to try out new players.

My only issue is that Scaloni has played 4-6 friendlies before the Venezuela game and he won about 5 of them and only conceded maybe 1 or 2 goals. So, why not keeping using those players and then mix them up with players from the world cup? Instead, he calls up new players.

  4. Argentina could literally have the best attack lineup by far in the world Messi and Dybala out wide, aguero in the middle, or bring out di maria and have messi attacking mid, but weve wasted messi playing him w higuain and all these trash as players, we dont even pick up players like Acuna or Correa like wtf

  5. This is what happens if you are betting everything on a single player. Argentina forgot this is a teamsport and try to revolve their game on a single player, rather than utilizing their entire team. Messi alone cannot save them, the entire team can. Unfortunately, they think building everything on Messi is the way to go.

  6. Then you fools "oh, messi is the greatest football player ever". If Ronaldo, Henry, etc. Was playing football now with these soft girly defenders now, they would score more than 60 goals a season. Messi and Ronaldo wouldn't have it easy if they were up against some very great players like makelele, Roy Kean, Patrick v…, jaap stam, maldini, nesta, etc.. these nowadays defenders are soft! Especially in Spanish league.. if Ronaldo r#9 was up against these soft defenders now, am sure he would be scoring 100+ goals ever season because he would be over protected like nowadays so called top players, unlike back in his days with some hardcore defenders

  7. Messi is nothing.. he is not good as u ppl say, pure exaggeration! How France could depend on zidane.. how Brazil could depend on pelé, how Brazil could depend on true Ronaldo? These nowadays players aren't good enough.. I don't see any great players anymore in football.

  8. oh stop plz exonerating messi he was terrible in 2018 and he was carried by a great defensive argentina team in 2014 from the QF-Final

  9. Argentina should play the Diamond (4-3-1-2) like this:
    GK: Rulli; Romero; Armani
    RB: Mercado; Acuña
CB: Otamendi, Fazio; Funes Mori, Kanneman
    LB: Tagliafico; Saravia
    DM: Paredes; Biglia
CM: Lo Celso, A.Correa; Ascacibar, Lanzini
    CAM: Messi; Banega
    ST: Dybala, Aguero; L.Martínez, Icardi

Great mobility and can change formations during matches without changes in the lineup. Focus on fluidity, ball possession and the the roaming of positions between Dybala, Messi and Aguero (those 3 need to play together).
    —-
    Rulli
    Tagliafico-Otamendi-Fazio-Mercado
    Paredes
    A.Correa-Lo Celso
    Messi
    Aguero-Dybala

  10. The excuses people are making for Messi are really ridiculous. The only explanation feasible in this situation is that Messi excels when he plays with other superstars at Barcelona, but in a normal team he’s just human. Remember CR7 won the Euro which is much harder than any South American tournament with a very young squad that was reliant on him. No excuses.

  11. Argentina continue to try play defensing lineups when there strength is their wealth of talent in attack, the need to be unorthodox and play 5 attacking players in the team because they have arguably the best attacking players in the world, yes they might concede goals but with the likes of Messi,Aquero,Di Maria,Dybala and even Higuain upfront they can outscore any team,Just imagine Aquero and Higuain/Icardi upfront with Dybala as number 10 and Messi and Di Maria on the wings it would be the most deadly attack in world football

  12. Its actually very simple…Argentina have no talent at midfield and defence.People are saying he didnt let p Icardi,Dybala,Aguero and so on play but you are only mentioning forwards and they had no problem in that department as Messi and i might add Lautaro Martinez(best upcoming striker in my opinion) played really well.
