  5. River is not the "rich" team and Boca's not the underdog, no big team can be an underdog. "Millonarios" is just a nickname originated when River bought two players for an unusual amount of money in 1931. After that, the club relied mostly on their academy. The elitist imagery in "millonarios" speaks more about the philosophy on the pitch, the elegant precision passing and the all out offensive jogo bonito style. It says "Not anybody can play here", to sum it up. Boca, on the other hand, was always a buyer club and you need to be wealthy to buy the best from other teams. If you look at both club's idols, none of the Boca players that Martino mentioned were produced by Boca, while at least 75% of River's idols emerged from the academy, which is something the club takes pride in. Throughout history both clubs have been on the verge of bankruptcy (this is Argentina, most clubs have) and had wealthy periods as well. River has had financial problems many times, arguably more often and more recently than Boca.

Que bueno que pudiste conocer tanto al Monumental como la Bombonera, como para que te des una idea acá la pasión es tan grande que cuando un hincha dice que va a defender los colores de su club con la vida es literalmente, la gente es capaz de matarse (y más si hablamos de Boca y River) por defender los colores, no por nada ya no están las hinchadas visitantes.

  25. Yo soy del Madrid… pero la duda que tengo…a quien le parece más el Madrid, al River o al Boca? Yo creo que al RIver y me da mucho más ganas de ver al River batiendo al Boca… Cual es la respuesta correcta?

  28. As a neutral fan ( the club I support is Lanús) I believe that boca river it’s the most important derby of Argentina but the most passional and “spicy” or dangerous (sadly) its Rosario’s derby Newells- Rosario Central.
    Similar to racing and independiente stadium distance it’s the situation in La plata’s derby. Gimnasia and Estudiantes have their stadiums separate 400/500 meters from each other.

  38. Digo con respeto, el titulo tendria que ser Tributo a Boca….el conductor se lo pasa alabando a Boca y no se si está informado quien gano la mejor copa histórica ahi está el mejor del América.
