I don’t agree that those difficulties were there before, they were much bigger difficulties, no support whatsoever at all he’s been by himself completely playing with guys that were so plastic… and no defense! Now u have a group of guys that are playing with heart and with something to prove, we all may be surprised, there may just be enough left in the tank.

I would 100% bet against Argentina winning the world cup realistically there is only 3 teams or so that can win it, Brasil, Spain, England, reluctant to put England in btw.

When Messi was the man on the planet at this sport? Does he not know who is the current Ballon d'Or winner? Not to mention when you compare Messi's Club stats to his national team ones that makes no sense. Messi already showed everyone what he can do. At club level he doesn't need to accelerate and score goals. I mean, why would he? The Ligue 1 is won if they play barefoot. However when it comes to the national team that is where he is playing properly because he knows he is needed. Look at his performances.

Wrong, Craig. This Argentina team is much more solid than any previous ones. Yes, it has a few flaws here and there (name one team that doesn't), but it is a force to reckon with. You're underestimating this teams ambition and resolve. On the other hand, what we've seen so far in the Nations League is not very impressive. France lost to Denmark and tied with Croatia. England lost to Hungary. Germany is up and down. Spain and Portugal are looking good, but they're not invincible. And never underestimate Messi, not even at this age.
I have followed Argentina since 1980. This is probably the best ever and you have some outstanding teams like 86, 91 and 2001. This one though stands out. Extremely precise executing at top speed and a defensive attitude I have not seen in the last 20 years. The fact that Messi only scored 11 goals for PSG and other players are similarly seem to be underperforming, seems to me they are avoiding extreme efforts to get well to the world cup. Maradona did exactly the same in 1986 he had 6 months where he took it really slow to the shine.

How about re-interviewing most of these biased lads again (except for DelPi), after seeing the "stronger teams" like France, England, Belgium (all losing), while Argentina (and Messi may I add) destroying opponents. All I'm saying is, watch out for Argentina (it's a well-lubed machine)!!

In order to win the World Cup you need to create a combination among the players on and off the field. Currently Argentina players create the strongest chemistry in the group. I’ve been watching football since 2002, for me this Argentina team is even better than 2006 World Cup squad. If the referee and VAR are fair then nobody can stop Argentina to win the World Cup 2022

Messi now for Argentina is more dangerous than ever. So this is actually the WC where Messi picks up the WC. Espn does not know that yet but they ll know soon or later.
Anything is possible but I don't see it happening, overreliance on one player, a 35 y.o mind you, is a recipe for disappointment!!
