  1. ESPN your bias is showing. NYC is a horrid choice for hosting so many fans. It's too expensive for fans not blessed with enough money to spend 500 a night on hotels to travel there. Also the city is hurting after everyone moved out of Manhattan. This is just a media ploy to help a failing city survive.

  2. Hopefully it won't be California with a 1 p.m. kick-off time as in 1994. Those are impossible conditions for an enjoyable final. Brazil got the kick-off time right in 2014, but then it was the Southern hemisphere winter whereas in the US it will be summer. Going to be hard striking a balance between the needs of the players (evening kick-off means more enjoyable conditions) and the desires of European audiences who will grumble if the game kicks off too late.

  3. You Americans probably think that you stand a chance at winning the world cup.
The only way you'll complete for it will be through your women's team not your men's team

  4. Estadio Azteca should not get the final and I’m certain the U.S made this bid with z Mexico and Canada with the certainty that the final is in the United States. MetLife is where the final should be. The last time The United States hosted the World Cup the final was in the west coast and this World Cup should switch it up and give it to NY/NJ. Imagine seeing the fireworks from the top of MetLife when the winning team lifts the trophy with NYC skyscrapers in the backdrop. That would instantly be iconic

  5. Out of all the stadias in the 2026 World Cup, the final should take place at SoFi Stadium. Why? Almost all the stadiums will be 20 to 30 years old by gameday! Arrowhead might be the oldest of the bunch as it might be 60 by the day of the tournament! SoFi, however, will be 6 years old and is the newest stadium of the American sector of the WC. I don't want a World Cup final to take place in a (later) 16 year old stadium in the East Coast. Have it take place in a new stadium in the West Coast. You'll have people flocking over to Los Angeles for the final than in New York City. Have it a way to honor the '94 Final at the Rose Bowl by having the final at SoFi Stadium. Plus, the capacity of the stadium can be expanded from 70,240 to 100,240 for big events, just recently with Super Bowl LVI and with the upcoming Olympic Games of 2028, two years after the WC. How can't that not convince FIFA to have the final take place in LA and not in NYC? I guess I'll have to wait and see what the final approval is following Qatar 2022

  6. I heard her ask that question during the press conference. As a journalist either she is just trying to appease her LigaMX fanbase, or even worse didn’t do her homework. Mexico and Canada are only holding the group stage games and that has been known since the beginning.

  7. As someone from the Concacaf, I do not like the distribution of these stadiums, why not put more in Mexico and Canada, why is it sooo heavily a US World Cup as though they haven't had it before. It should be at least 5 for both Mexico and Canada
