1. Okay, so Messi didn't play in different leagues, but how many times did C. Ranaldo win the league title while he was in pain? That was them going head-to-head, and for those that want to point to the Champions League, well, C. Ranaldo has five while Messi has four; also, for those that want to say Messi didn't play in one of the finals, if that's a criterion, then C. Ranaldo doesn't get the Euros either. I know people like to glass over these two, but don't forget the Olympics and the U-20 World Cup, and yes, C. Ranaldo had his chance at both as well.

Goals per game, assists per game, goal participation rate, goals outside the box, free kick goals, goals per shot, shots on target, dribble success rate/defenders dribbled passes per chance, average match rating, and has almost double man of the match awards than Ronaldo. It’s not even close on an individual performance.

    I love Ronaldo, he has incredible footwork, insane power and some of the best goals I’ve ever seen, and impressive accolades, but Messi is the better player all around without question for me.
