  1. It’s pretty cool than Messi and Di Maria both won the U-20 World Cup (I think Messi in 2005 and Di Maria 2 years later), the Olympic gold medal, Copa America and now the ultimate prize the World Cup.

Di Maria’s record in big games, scoring in the World Cup final, the winning goals in the Copa America and Olympic finals, winning the man of the match award in the 2014 Champions League final, scoring in the 2014 Copa del Rey final etc., is certainly stellar !

  2. Thanks for giving Di Maria his props I said at the beginning of the world cup watch him and for short time he got on the field he worked magic truly one of the greatest 🏆🏆🏆

  3. I would take prime Di Maria over prime Mbappe. There was a reason why Madrid signed him and kept him for years. The only better left footer then Di Maria is Lionel Messi. Even Messi has or had respect for Prime Di Maria.
Di Maria in his prime was a better dribbler than even Cristiano Ronaldo

  4. I knew Argentina would win when Di Maria scored that second goal. When Di Maria scores, Messi and Argentina always win the finals. It happened in 2008 Olympics and Copa America. Di Maria a true right hand of, Messi the Goat.

  5. When Di Maria was crying on the bench, I almost cried with him.

I felt like Argentina needed him back on the pitch. Then I figured he is fatigued so maybe it’s not a good idea. Then it hit me hard: this may be it for him yet idk what other lefty we have in football. Ozil and Di Maria were my lefties.

It feels like the end of an eta for a very special group: non-strikers so good with their left that they may not need their right. Arjun Roben also comes to mind but I believe he was a striker. Di Maria and Ozil making sweet passes will always be a fond memory.

  6. Di Maria was a freaking beast. He was snatching the defender's ankle, catching every pass perfectly and making the precise passes all game long. When he was subbed out they struggled to put pressure
