  1. Idk why ppl are surprised lol. His contract with PSG even said he gets to prioritize Argentina duty over club games. I’m sure the same goes for his Miami contract.

  2. Bottom line no one should be complaining at all. Miami was garbage until Messi came in. He came in and played a ton of games at a remarkable level and won them a trophy. He got injured and so Miami is being safe. If Messi decides he is fit enough to play for Argentina all good. If he is choosing country over club again, all good. He has salvaged the season for Miami. Changed the entire culture of the club. Be appreciative of what you got and look to next season where a healthy Messi can help Miami make a run at the MLS Cup.

  3. Messi can and should do whatever he wants. The man completed football and brought a Leagues Cup Trophy to Miami without prior training with the club. Miami was, and it looks like it will remain in last place without him. Only shows his value. US sports pundits are always too critical.

  4. Choosing national team over club should be a no brainer especially when you are world champion. The problem is not with his priority but with MLS schedule, like european leagues MLS should respect International breaks & plan accordingly

  5. 1) He will always prioritize Argentina. He even has it written into his contracts. (He did at PSG, anyway.)
    2) I'm not so sure this means he'll actually play. Think back to Lisandro Martinez going with the national team despite being unable to play during the previous international break. It might just be a teambuilding thing.
    3) Don't hold domestic games during international breaks. Don't be stupid, MLS.

  6. I don’t understand & can someone with knowledge of US soccer tell me: when the international matches come by why is the MLS still playing games? Is t it meant to be an international break?

  7. Brother…no way messi will prioritize inter miami as much as he will prioritize argentina.
Copa america is coming up next year and he will make sure he is fit for his argentina WC qualifiers.

  8. I’m pretty sure MLS has no leverage over Messi. With a league like MLS… Messi can do what ever he wants. MLS complains too much, he can always go back to European or the Saudi Pro League (which is better than MLS) and play against his peers again.

Let’s be honest. He picked MLS over SPL, just so he could travel with his Argentinian team. If he didn’t have to do that, he would be in SPL right now. MLS is a joke to Messi.

  9. Messi just using Miami to keep fit. Now he resting for international games. Soon he will leave this Niama club and join Barcelona. Alba & Biscuits got scammed joined him in MLS 😂

  10. inter should loan messi out for the last year of his contract. let him end it there
it would be such a glorious end if he could lift another cup with barca , even if its just copa del rey lol it would be the best ending ever.

  11. The MLS is garbage compared to the great legendary Argentina national team. I prioritize the Argentina national team over the MLS im not even Argentinan.

  12. It would be different if they were able to make the playoffs, but because of this bad timing injury, making the playoffs isn’t only by winning , so maybe they all decided to look to next season where they will have a clean start , and dominate. He was able to win a cup already which was unexpected, so the season wasn’t a wash. I’d rather wait , regroup, get some star defenders
Maybe one more attacker , and rule over next season, taking all trophies. And yes, Argentina comes first….not even a question.

  13. Farias isnt going to play the qualifiers Herc is dumb to belive that, he was called up for Mascheranos U23 team gearing up to the pre-olympic tournament . Mascherano cant ask for players in foreign leagues since the leagues arent obligated to release them to him but they are obligated to release them if they are in the senior squad list which is why Scaloni included him with other yougsters

  14. Why wouldn’t he prioritise Argentina over inter Miami these bad players can’t win a single game without messi it’s embarrassing
